No details on how MLSE deal will help fans | Maple Leafs | Sports | Toronto Sun:

I have no idea how it will or will not help the fans of MLSE teams esp the Leafs, but someone tell me how the teacher`s pension fund was helping the teams? Even if one big pocketed buyers stepped forward would they of sold to them? With the way they had it structured any deal had to go through Tannenbaum, which the strange thing is he is Chairman with 20 percent, soon to climb to 26 percent under the new owners next summer. So I guess the good thing the teacher`s are going, and this new ownership is taking over which I will have the wait and see attitude. We the average ppl have no control over who owns MLSE and if they win or not, so it`s support the teams or don`t support them, money seeminly talks louder then ever now adays.

Leafs Coaching and some remedies

I feel Ron Wilson, is a stubborn coach slow to change, but he would be a better coach if he was more flexible in his thinking. Two sore spots I see the Leafs develop this season are a defensive zone coverage by their defence, and penalty killing. There has to be ways the defense can work to become better, some are fundamentals, lifting sticks, poke checking, sweep checking, tieing up sticks in front of their net, and penalty killing don`t have their box shrink, have it expand and be more aggressive. we`ll see if they adapt.
